While the Austin Bayesian Conspiracy now exists as a UT student organization, there's a $5 fee to reserve a room on the weekends. For this week, we'll still be at Caffe Medici.

SilasBarta will be celebrating his birthday this Saturday, and so there will be extra rationalist fun after the meetup ends!

If one were to attend for the first time, how might one find the group at Caffe Medici?

Great, we'd love to have you! We sit on the second floor, on or next to the stage just to the left of the stairs. (Order something at the counter if you want something, walk up the stairs to your right, look to your left and you should see us.)

I'll have my laptop out, and it'll probably be pointed towards the stairs with a browser pointed at LessWrong. (I may be a bit late, so if you don't see a laptop pointed at LW just look for the stage.)

Wow, if a $5 fee that's holding it up, I'm fine with being ABCUT's benefactor/"sugar daddy", even on weeks that I'm not there.

Btw, for those who will just be coming for the post-meeting birthday activities, what time and place do you suggest they meet up with us?

Meeting us at Caffe Medici just before 4 is probably the best plan; otherwise, texting you or me to figure out where we're eating dinner and meeting us there is a good plan. (Start times for the other things will be fluid, and so texting one of us is the best plan there.) I should have my laptop out and pointed at LW until ~4 pm today, so sending me a private message to get my cell phone number should work.
