I just modified my Phone's Operating System so that a bunch of sites that were distracting as fuck, including [fanfic site], [other fanfic site], [scrolling site], etc just do not load on my phone's internet!!
took several hours, way longer than i predicted
but this is something i cant just uninstall or whatever, since it's literally on the operating system! literally modified the img and shit!! and also no problem with banking apps and stuff, the way i had before with Magisk!!
also, pretty confident this will work, since i did this on my laptop months ago and i've just used it 90%+ for just work since then
update: this has not been working as well as I predicted, I'm using Tor and seem to be using Youtube more than I anticipated, even though I have my watch history off, so i get 0 recommendations and only use it through the Brave browser. I am seeming to use it less than before though. Not sure if that's because I'm more aware of it, it's more convenient, etc, or because about 12 days ago, i kept my phone in a suitcase in the basement for about a week. i'm not going to make more changes for now, because i want to spend less than an hour a week on phone modification bs and more time on just directly trying to do my main goals
