frontier coding models unironically make life so much better for me, it's unreal. i can just have ideas and knowledge about how to execute well on things and i can just explain shit to the model and it just materializes in real life. the kind of thing that used to take hours and hours of suffering now is just a 5 minute prompt if i know my shit and can explain myself well. i genuinely feel some of my higher brain functioning returning, that had withered away from bashing my head against stupid infra stuff
any sadness i had about never writing code ever again has been replaced by the euphoria of being able to execute on ludicrously large projects in very short amount of time
I can still write code if I want to, but I find that the thing I primarily enjoy isn't so much the writing of code, it's the accomplishing of tasks that require code. I don't have much desire to write code anymore, but boy do I love causing code to be written!
