  • Adopting safety standards
    • Proving a model for government regulation
• US policy (and China, EU, UK, and others to a lesser extent)
  • Regulation
  • Incorporating standards into law
• Standard-setters setting standards
• International relations
  • Treaties
  • Informal influence on safety standards
