I've been reading some essays from the Rationality: A-Z collection lately, as part of the Lighthaven reading group, and I keep noticing that they do not take advantage of some of LessWrong's features, such as having footnotes available in-line via mouseover. It would be pretty cool if these important posts were modernized a bit. I don't know who to ask about this so hopefully the right person magically sees this? 🙏
Yeah, I do think this would be pretty good. We are always pretty busy, so a bit unclear with how it compares to other things, but I will think about it.
Would you be against finding an external volunteer to do it? I feel like this is a relatively high impact low stake thing that is also quite easy to verify. You can e.g. give a publicly editable copy of the sequences to [the Lighthaven reading group; someone in LW/EA who signed up for this] and let people edit them and notify you as they finished editing posts, then you can skim and copy paste back.
