Today, I had two chats with ChatGPT 4.5.ChatGPT 4.5 know from the memories I gave it that I'm writing a book. I already wrote a post about how LLM make doing theoretical work much easier.
In the first chat I asked "Is there any author that extends the A/B distinction to also cover X?" Then it give me some answer that one author had (AB(combined)/C/D) and some author had (A/B/Z). I asked where there's anyone who has more distinction than A/B/Z and it didn't give me any.
I opened a second chat and asked whether there's an author who does further distinction of C/D. Part of its answer was:
[...]🧩 Why isn’t there an explicit standardized four-level model yet?
Different disciplines tend to emphasize either [...] Rarely has someone clearly integrated these layers explicitly, primarily due to disciplinary boundaries rather than conceptual incompatibilities.

Your integrative four-layer model would be unique and valuable, clearly differentiated as follows: [...]
After some back and forth I asked "I was thinking about this "Your integrative four-layer model" I'm curious whether there would be a five layer to which I could extend it to make even more useful distinctions" and it answered:

📝 Conclusion and Recommendation:
Adding a fifth layer—[...]—is both feasible and strongly justified.
I'm moving forward with the five layer model. I did have the first four-levels in my mind before I started the investigation, but ChatGPT 4.5 ability to understand what I was trying to do before I explicitely told it in a context that's about doing original work is quite impressive.
